There's no telling what background you have on your desktop right now. That's because someone has to choose it during installation, and there are a lot of options. Therefore, you may want to change what you have displayed right now.

  1. To change your desktop background, follow these steps:
  2. Right-click an empty area of the desktop, and select Personalize.
  3. In Personalize Appearance And Sounds, click Desktop Background.
  4. In the Picture Location drop-down list, select Windows Wallpapers.
  5. Use the scroll bar on the right to browse through the pictures.
  6. Select a picture.
  7. Select how the picture should be positioned. Choices include the following:
  8. Fit To Screen The picture covers the entire screen.
  9. Tile The picture is tiled across the screen a number of times.
  10. Center The picture is centered in the middle of the screen.
  11. Click OK.

If you have a picture of your own you'd like to use as a desktop background, instead of selecting Windows Wallpapers, click Browse. Locate the picture on your hard drive, and click Open. You can then use that picture as a background.
